Job Description:Job Title: Azure Data Architect Location: Hyderabad, pune (hybrid) Experience required: 12+ yearsRole Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure data architectto design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures that support our enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate should bring strong expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, medallion architecture, and data pipeline engineering. Experience in data visualization, DevOps, and modern cloud-based data platforms is essential. This role requires strong leadership to manage the successful delivery of multiple data projects and provide technical guidance to data engineering teams. In addition, the role requires active participation inpre-sales activitiessuch as developing technical proposals, responding to RFPs, creating SOWs and estimations, and presenting solutions to senior leadership and customer stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: Architect end-to-end data solutions usingmodern cloud data platforms, especiallyMicrosoft FabricandAzure Synapse Analytics. Lead theplanning, execution, and delivery of multiple data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards. Lead the design and development ofData Warehouses,Data Lakes, andLakehousesfollowingMedallion architectureprinciples (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers). Define and implementdata ingestion pipelinesfrom diverse sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured). Oversee the development ofETL/ELT processes, ensuring scalability, performance, and reusability. Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and BI developers to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical designs. Drive data quality, lineage, cataloging, and governance best practices. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments usingAzure DevOps. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and data engineers. Evaluate & recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to support data strategies. Supportpre-sales activitiesby preparing technical proposals, effort estimations, and SOW documents. Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to respond toRFPsand customer queries. Present technical solutions and value propositions to senior leadership and client stakeholders.Required Skills & Experience: 12–18 yearsof experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles. Strong hands-on experience inSQL, performance tuning, and optimization. Expertise inETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and transformation logic. Solid understanding ofMicrosoft Fabric(Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, etc.). Deep knowledge ofData Warehousingprinciples,star/snowflake schema, anddimensional modeling. Strong understanding ofdata pipelines,data integrationfrom various source systems (ERP, APIs, Files, Streams, etc.). Experience withAzure Data Services(Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL DB, Blob Storage). Hands-on experience withDevOpspractices, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation (preferablyAzure DevOps). Proficiency indata visualization toolslike Power BI/Tableau/Qlikview. Understanding ofdata governance,security,compliance, &metadata management. Demonstrated experience inpre-salesengagements including proposals, RFP responses, SOW creation, and solution presentations.Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g.,Azure Data Engineer Associate,Azure Architect). Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, dbt). Familiarity with Python, Spark, or Scala is a plus.
