Solution & Data Architect - Azure ApplicationsLocation: India (Remote) | Employment Type: Full-time | Senior - 8-11+ Years of experienceAbout the RoleWe are seeking an accomplished Solution and Data Architect specializing in Azure-based applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing secure, scalable, and robust data architectures that support mission-critical public facing transactional websites and data processing focused business SaaS applications on Microsoft Azure. You will strategize and implement data modeling, security frameworks, and best practices to ensure seamless integration, reliability, and performance across distributed systems.Key Responsibilities- Design and implement end-to-end data and solution architectures for Azure-based applications, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and performance. - Develop comprehensive data modeling strategies, ensuring high-quality, well-documented, and easily maintainable data structures. - Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define and enforce data governance, security standards, and architectural best practices. - Architect and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure-native tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics) to meet the evolving needs of the organization. - Implement and maintain security strategies including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR). - Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations. - Champion best practices in data management, metadata, and data lineage within Azure environments, driving continuous improvement and innovation. - Mentor and guide data engineers and analysts in data architecture, security protocols, and scalable solution design. - Design an orchestration layer enabling a Graph API framework enabling front to interact with the backend data. - Architect to own and document the end-to-end product architecture, including diagrams, capacity models, and dependencies. - The architect needs to work closely with the product engineering and test teams to define clear, measurable benchmarks for scalability, performance, and capacity, and validate them through rigorous testing to ensure the system reliably meets expected and peak demands. - They guide, mentor, and enforce architecture principles, development standards, and best practices across design, development, and testing. - Formalize architecture design reviews and checkpoints before development and release approvals. - Align architecture KPIs with delivery outcomes to ensure the system achieves stability, high performance, and maintainability. Regularly measure and track these KPIs to drive continuous improvement and accountability. - Take ownership of root-cause analysis for any production or customer-impacting incidents. Drive long-term remediation to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability. - Embed the architect throughout the delivery lifecycle as an active part of the sprint process—they should attend planning, demos, daily standups and other sprint ceremonies, review outcomes, and structure their work in DevOps. - Current focus areas include designing systems to support concurrent and parallel processing for databases, implementing effective logging and telemetry strategies, and defining caching approaches. Additionally, emphasis is on SaaS model design and implementation, as well as scalability and performance optimization.Required QualificationsCandidates must hold the following Microsoft Azure certifications:- DP-300 – Azure Database Administrator Associate - DP-203 – Azure Data Engineer Associate - AZ-305 – Azure Solutions Architect Expert - AZ-500 – Azure Security Engineer Associate- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 8–10 years of professional experience in data management, engineering, or architecture roles. - At least 4 years of specialized experience architecting solutions and data frameworks on Azure cloud platforms. - Advanced expertise in SQL, data modeling, and Azure-based ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics). - Deep understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards within cloud environments. - Proven track record in developing data strategies for secure, scalable, and high-performance applications. - Experience in data governance, master data management, and metadata frameworks. - Familiarity with Python, Power BI, or similar analytics tools is a plus. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Skills- Experience architecting solutions in cross-functional or multi-organization Azure environments. - Knowledge of AI and ML data preparation strategies using Azure Machine Learning or similar platforms. - Ability to translate complex technical architectures into actionable business insights and strategies.What We Offer- Fully remote position based in India. - Opportunity to work across two innovative, international companies. - Competitive compensation package. - Collaborative, flexible work culture focused on growth, security, and innovation.
