TheHead of Manufacturing Engineeringis a senior leadership role responsible for thestrategic planning, execution, and continuous enhancementof all manufacturing operations and industrial engineering initiatives. This position is instrumental in drivingoperational excellence, process optimization, product quality, and innovation , while leading a team of engineers and designers to deliver business objectives.Reporting directly to theDirector Operations , this role works in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, includingQuality Assurance, Process Optimization, Design Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain , to ensureon-time execution, first-time-right results , and continuous improvement across all development projects.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership & PlanningDefine and execute comprehensive manufacturing and industrial engineering strategies aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans. Develop themanufacturing roadmap , including facility planning, capacity expansion, and advanced technology adoption. Identify, assess, and integrateemerging manufacturing technologiesto enhance competitiveness. Oversee manufacturing budgets, ensuringoptimal resource allocation, cost efficiency, and ROI .2. Operational Excellence & Process OptimizationChampionLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma , and other best-practice methodologies to drive continuous improvement. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-reduction opportunities. Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts to maximizeproductivity, efficiency, and quality . Ensure compliance withindustry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements . Overseetool design and engineeringto support production requirements.3. Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and inspire ahigh-performing teamof manufacturing and design engineers. Foster aculture of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement . Partner with HR to recruit, train, and develop engineering and production talent.4. Quality Assurance & Control Establish and maintainrobust quality systemsto meet stringent product specifications and customer expectations. Collaborate with Quality Control teams to address manufacturing challenges and implementcorrective/preventive actions . Define and trackKPIsfor production efficiency, quality, and cost performance.5. Project ManagementLead complex manufacturing engineering projectsfrom RFQ to SOP , ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Coordinate cross-functional project teams, clearly defining objectives, plans, and resource allocation.6. Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely withdesign, operations, supply chain, R&D, and quality teamsto ensure seamless product development and manufacturing integration. Communicate complex technical concepts inclear, concise, and actionable termsfor senior management and non-technical stakeholders. Engage with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select optimal materials, equipment, and manufacturing solutions.7. Problem Solving & TroubleshootingProvide expert technical guidance toresolve complex manufacturing issues . Identify and address root causes of defects or inefficiencies with sustainable solutions. Drive initiatives to enhanceoutput, reliability, and manufacturing consistencyCandidate Profile /Experience20+ yearsof progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, production operations, and industrial engineering, preferably in theforging and machining industry . Proven track record inleading large-scale manufacturing operations , including multi-plant or multi-line setups. Strong exposure toprocess design, tooling development, and precision machining operations . Hands-on experience incapacity planning, process optimization, quality control systems, and new product industrialization . Successful implementation ofLean, Six Sigma, and TPMinitiatives delivering measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Demonstrated ability to leadcross-functional engineering teamsin complex, high-precision manufacturing environments. Experience managingRFQ-to-SOP cyclesfor new product introductions in automotive or industrial sectors.
