Job Description - Enterprise Architect

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture reviews for building new platforms working closely with the business solutions group.
  • Support architecture review of existing platforms, identify areas for improvement and assist teams in developing remediation plans.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise architecture roadmaps and migration plans that integrate business, information systems, and infrastructure, streamlining interfaces, reducing redundancy, and lowering costs.
  • Ensure the governance of architecture functions, implementing stringent processes and tracing deliverables.
  • Define architecture standards, evaluate requested changes or exceptions, establish solution selection criteria, and develop deployment architectures for major programs.
  • Promote optimal infrastructural design across the organization to enable cross-platform scalability and usability.
  • Provide expert advice on project costs, design concepts, and design changes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for architectural frameworks, methods, and tools.
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, processes, and interfaces with internal and external systems.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 10 years in end-to-end IT management, enterprise business technology transformation, IT security, system integration, architecting, and delivering reliable and scalable systems.
  • A proven track record in various areas, including enterprise business applications (business intelligence, data warehousing, ERP, CRM).
  • Good understanding of banking business operations and exposure to corporate or retail banking.
  • Prior experience as an enterprise architect with a proven track record in the banking industry, including exposure to cloud computing, APIs, artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Expertise in web technology, multi-tier, client-server, e-commerce, database technology, object-oriented programming, cloud and mobile technology, open-source software, software factories, ETL, software quality, automatic deployment, and complete SDLC processes (agile, waterfall, scrum).
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing advanced architectures in multiple domains, including application, data, network, security, integration, platform, and experience integrating systems in multi-user, multi-platform, multitasking operating environments.
  • Familiarity with and experience applying one or more architecture frameworks, including TOGAF, DoDAF, MODAF, Zachman Framework, FEAF, FSAM, Component Business Model, UPIA, and SOA.
  • Knowledge in enterprise program management, technology portfolio planning, product management, technology market opportunity and feasibility assessment, IT governance, and IT organization and process design.
