JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE ASST. MANAGER/DY. MANAGER

Key Accountabilities

Leading Lean management initiatives at shop floor level of production plant and Laboratory by working closely with production managers of respective blocks/units. Act as a champion and change agent for driving positive culture change and improving operational efficiencies while deploying new techniques and tactics. Identifying Non-Value added activities in the manufacturing processes at our manufacturing & R&D site. Able to train employees on 8 types of waste, lean principles, 5S, Lean Six Sigma, VSM etc. Implementing Lean Six Sigma processes to significantly improve: Productivity of the people Quality of the current manufacturing processes at the site Cost of goods Delivery performance of sites Personnel safety at the site Compliance to business processes Drive Daily Management (Based on TQM, TPM & WCM practices) & culture (Ideation machine) to build project pipeline. Able to identify issues of the business in collaboration with process owner and develop a list of improvement projects. Providing support to the Site Management and functional leaders in the development and deployment of OE Program, utilizing continuous improvement methodology across all projects. Lead periodic OE updates with the site leadership team and conduct reward and recognition.

SKILLS:

Experience in WCM (World Class manufacturing) practices such as TPM, TQM and Daily Management etc. Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt Certification and Lean management Certification. Able to drive Lean Six Sigma/5S concepts at multiple levels independently Effective communicator across all levels of the organization. Able to lead cross-functional teams. Experience in Value Stream Mapping, Work place standardization etc. Ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups. Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile (Qualification):

Person having minimum experience of 6-10 years of Lean Six Sigma & Operational Excellence drive in related industries. Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, MBA etc. Must be aware of the production cycle in API / Chemical industry with knowledge of budget costing Demonstrated ability to implement new techniques and continuous improvement programs at all levels of manufacturing operations Experienced and certified Black / Belt, Green Belt or Lean Expert
