We are hiring a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our client services team and manage the complex accounting and taxation needs of our fast-paced e-commerce clientele. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dedicated client services team in Gurgaon. This pivotal, client-facing role involves managing the complete accounting, GST, and TDS compliance functions for a portfolio of our e-commerce seller clients. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Indian taxation laws and mandatory experience within a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm environment and e-commerce accounting. Key Responsibilities 1. E-commerce Client Accounting Management Manage the full-cycle accounting process for multiple e-commerce clients, ensuring compliance with Indian Accounting Standards. Perform detailed bank and marketplace reconciliation (e.g., Amazon India, Flipkart, Shopify), accurately recording sales, payment gateway fees, and commissions. Oversee inventory accounting (COGS, valuation) for businesses dealing with physical goods. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing clients with actionable insights into their profitability and cash flow. Expertly utilize and manage accounting software like Tally ERP and/or Zoho Books for client operations and reporting. 2. Taxation and Statutory Compliance (Client Focus) Ensure timely and accurate computation and filing of all client Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C) and reconciliation. Handle all aspects of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance for clients, including computation, deposit, and timely filing of quarterly TDS returns. Manage corporate tax compliance, including preparation of workings for Income Tax returns (ITR) for various client entities. Provide guidance on complex issues specific to e-commerce, such as TCS under GST and marketplace settlement challenges. 3. Client Advisory and Relationship Serve as the primary accounting and tax point of contact for your assigned clients, building strong, trusted relationships. Proactively advise clients on strategies to optimize GST and Income Tax liabilities and improve financial performance. Required Qualifications Education: B.Com / M.Com / Semi-qualified CA / Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). Experience: Minimum 2 years of mandatory, demonstrable working experience with a Chartered Accountant (CA) Firm. Core Knowledge: Strong, practical, and up-to-date knowledge of Accounting Principles, GST, and TDS provisions in India. Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Tally ERP is essential. Proficiency in Zoho Books or similar cloud-based accounting platforms is a plus. Industry Preference: Demonstrated experience managing accounting and taxation for e-commerce businesses is highly preferred. Location: Willingness to work from our Gurgaon office. What We Offer (Easy Works) Competitive Salary: Based on skills and experience, with a starting range of Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 per month. Candidate pay will be decided as per the experience and their last salary.
