Position Overview:

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team and take charge of developing cutting-edge solutions for the cooperative banking sector. As a key player in our engineering team, you will leverage your expertise in Angular and Node.js to create scalable, secure, and efficient products. You will also bring valuable experience in either Core Banking Systems (CBS) or Loan Origination Systems (LOS).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development Efforts: Take ownership of developing and deploying web applications using Angular (front-end) and Node.js (back-end), ensuring seamless integration and high-quality output.
  • Architect & Implement Solutions: Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure systems that meet the unique needs of cooperative banks.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver solutions that align with the company’s vision and the cooperative sector’s requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.
  • Drive Innovation: Be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve and optimize the systems we build, keeping user needs and social impact at the forefront.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead projects from conceptualization through to production, while ensuring quality control, performance, and security standards are met.
  • Problem-Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges and come up with creative, scalable solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews and stay up to date with the latest industry trends to continuously refine and improve development processes.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant expertise in Angular and Node.js.
  • Proven experience with either Core Banking Systems (CBS) or Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
  • Expertise in building and maintaining large-scale, performance-oriented web applications.
  • Strong understanding of front-end frameworks (especially Angular) and back-end development using Node.js.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Solid understanding of version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD practices and Docker.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable leading technical discussions and mentoring team members.
  • Passion for using technology to make a positive social impact, especially in underserved communities.
