Loom, MamaEarth, Muthoot Finance, Canara Robeco, ScripBox etc. are a few of Astra’s customers.Role Overview: At Astra Security, we just launched the coveted API Security Platform and are now venturing into Autonomous Pentesting using AI - an experience that helps teams discover, test and secure Web & Mobile applications, Cloud and APIs at scale. As a Technical Program Manager, you’ll orchestrate multi-team initiatives including Platform engineering, Vulnerability Scanners (for DAST, Cloud, API & Mobile) and new scanners - driving them from 0→1 to GA. You’ll pair strong business analytics with hands-on fluency in either TypeScript (preferable) / Go (Golang) / Python to shape scope, trade-offs and execution alongside SDEs and other Leads. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role working directly with the CTO, Engineering Manager and Product team. By deeply learning the entire platform you’ll establish yourself as a go-to leader within the first few months. Eventually, you’ll champion new feature development across the platform and lead performance enhancements to keep our products fast and resilient. You’ll own triage and customer issue resolution, ensuring challenges are surfaced and solved before they escalate.Here's what's in it for you Technical Expertise: Be the go-to expertin one or more core technologies (TypeScript or PHP - Laravel/Symfony) and take initiative to learn new ones. Design and implement medium-to-large featuresthat push the platform forward while reducing technical debt and improving maintainability. Lead architectural discussionsand ensure smooth integration across platform services, scanners and microservices. Be hands-on with writing code ,contributing a good amount of time with development tasks as required. Be like Yoda - the wise and learned mentor who guides others through challenges. If the engineering team is stuck, you should be able to step in and show them how it's done. Lead by example Project Management: Lead and manage the full project lifecycle along with the Tech leads & engineers in ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, monitor progress and report on project status to stakeholders. Balance priorities and trade-offsacross multiple initiatives, keeping alignment between engineering execution and business objectives. Own and improve SDLC best practices across the organization. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineers, QA, product owners, leadership and other stakeholdersto keep initiatives aligned and outcomes successful. Effectively communicate project goals, timelines, and expectations to cross-functional teams. Coordinate team members providing effective feedback and moderating discussions. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks early , proactively implementing mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track. Handle unexpected challenges with resilience and adaptability. Ownership and Operations: Own the production operation, ensuring timely delivery of technical projects and monitoring system performance. Evolve the architecture to support future requirements and define its SLAs. Leadership and Management: Step in as an Engineering Manager when needed , providing clarity, leadership and guidance to the team. Support team growthby managing career development, performance, expectations and overall well-being. Define and adapt processesthat fit the team’s maturity level, balancing agility with the discipline needed for scale. Impact and Evolution: Champion innovationby pushing boundaries in autonomous pentesting, vulnerability scanners, and new product initiatives. Make an impact on the whole tech organization/product engineer teams. Lead the0→1journey of upcoming products in the platform along with respective Tech Lead/SDEs.Location -This is a hybrid role inBengaluruand requires a regular in-office presence to collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams. Being in-office helps fosterdeep collaboration, faster decision-making and the shared energy of building together- values that define how we operate at Astra.Required Qualifications & Skills 5-7 years' experience in Technical Product Management/Owner Strong product & program management background preferably in dev-tools or infra product is highly desirable Knowledge of application & infrastructure security is preferred - helps you stand out Knowledge of TypeScript / Go (GoLang) / Python Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure etc. Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns. Experience leading change in large-scale systems. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions Experience with Agile methodologies. Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, including mentoring and coaching team members. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technical solutions. Strong organizational skill with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks across multiple projects with tight deadlines, aggressive goals and ambiguity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional remote teams. Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule. Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.Why Astra?
