New Product Development

We're seeking an experienced New Product Development Manager to lead the development of New Products and Solutions for our Iron Casting Foundry and Machine Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying customer requirements, process improvementopportunities, developing products , and managing cross-functional teams to bring new products in production and start bulk supplies to the customer. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a passion for innovation.Key Responsibilities:1. Process Review and Improvement + Mfg. Cost Reduction Opportunity Identification: - ConductProcess Reviewto identify opportunities forImprovement + Mfg. Cost Reduction Opportunity Identificationand solutions. - Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity. 2. Product Development: - Develop product tooling design for castings. - Develop product tooling design for machining of these castings. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality. - Ensure product designs meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality standards. 3. Project Management: - Manage new product development projects from concept to launch. - Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. - Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. 4. Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and production teams. - Communicate product development progress, timelines, and plans to stakeholders. - Ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across functions. 5. Product Lifecycle Management: - Manage product lifecycles, including product launches, maintenance, and eventual phase-out. - Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends.SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS :●Review the2D drawings, 3D models& Standards from Customer forNew Projects. ●Method layout anddesign of Gating System& Trimming dies. ●Responsible to maintainECR and ECNchange management. ●Rejection control & productivity improvements. ●Checking of allAPQP, PPAP, & IATF- 16949 related documentation. ●To design & develop products as per customer requirement. ●2D drawing, drafting & 3D modelingof new & existing parts. ●Work forcost reductionnew and existing projects.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in new product development, product engineering, or a related field. - Proven track record of successful product launches and development. - Strong technical knowledge of iron casting and machining processes. - Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. - Experience in the iron casting or related industry. - Knowledge of lean product development principles and methodologies. - Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS :●Experience in design of tooling for HPMLs likeDisa Flex-70, HWS-Sinto, No-Bake, Arpa 300/ 450 & Shell Molding. ●Ability to Prepare of CastingRFQ, CostingandTechnical feasibilityreview with customer. ●New Product Design & Developmentas per customer requirement. ●Tool Design, electrode design, Mold Design, Pattern, Core Box & Loose pieces. ●Methoding,Gating design Calculation&Casting Simulation, for GCI & SGI Castings. ●Proto-type parts developmentas per customer requirement. ●Technical Review& Regular Meetings with Customer. ●Yield Improvement & VA-VE. ●Reverse engineeringin customer 3D model and get design approval from customer. ●Conversant withSoftware Skills for 2D, 3D & Simulations as mentioned below. -Solid Works-2024, UG-NX10, Adstefan-Simulation-2022, DelCam 2010 and AutoCAD-2020.What We Offer:- Competitive salary and benefits package. - Opportunity to work with a leading iron casting foundry and machine shop. - Collaborative and dynamic work environment. - Professional development and growth opportunities.How to Apply:If you're a motivated and innovative individual with a passion for new product development, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications for the role.
