This ensures you will have access to the best and brightest minds in our industry to grow your experience and career within Emburse.Essential FunctionsTechnical7-9 years of testing experience in a software domainBroad knowledge of Computer Science conceptsCodes in at least one language; Exposed to multiple languages, testing frameworks and toolsInnovates with latest testing frameworks and enhances existing testing processesDesign, write and implement integration and components. UI test is not requiredUnderstands how key systems interoperate and the business proble msthey solve and designs tests relevant to the complexity/risk/performance of each system/problemCollaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, AI/ML engineers and other stakeholders to design test and automation opportunities that measure or improve quality or customer experience of the products around AI modelsIdentifies and reports issues and defects of high quality/complexity with extensive research and evidencePairs with developers to design systems for testability and scalabilityExecutes tests, triages and analyses test resultsProcessSDLC processes are followed, including adopting agile-based processes/meetings, peer code-reviews, and technical preparations required for scheduled releases.Follows existing coding and test case management standardsWrite moderately complex code/scripts to test systems, implementing test harnesses, load tests and test infrastructure as necessaryOwns CI/CD process from Test to ProdDemonstrates proficient debugging and problem-isolation skills in production, test and development environmentsImpactFixes defects in automation, develops new test features or enhancementsWrites tests of broad scope and complexity in their areaContributes to API documentationParticipates in peer code reviews and contributes comments throughout the SDLCEstablishes and drives test plans for componentsIdentifies appropriate test methodologies for componentsIdentifies opportunities for automation and defines automation work for the product roadmapCommunicationLearns industry jargon and business concepts to better understand the challenges our technology is designed to solveSeeks mentorship and takes constructive advice from peersMakes knowledge base contributionsLearns QA/automation industry practices and communicates and educates the teamBuild relationships with software development peers and pairs with developers for test planningRequired Skills:Professional experience working with a test automation framework in Python (e.g.Pytest, Playwright), or equivalentProfessional experience with SQLExperience designing, writingand executing manual test casesExperience working with source control(e.g. Git)Familiar with AWS servicesGood understanding of agile application development lifecycle.Preferred: working in OS X and Linux environmentsPreferred: working in a scrum and DevOps environment.Preferred: Experience Test Driven Development and functional testing.Education:Required: Bachelor’s degree in ComputerScience or relatedfield, or equivalent years’ experienceExperience:Minimum of 7 years’ professional experience in QA Engineering in software development environment
