Mandatory Requirement :

Demonstrated experience in a B2B SaaS startup environment, ideally contributing to the growth and success of the company.

Proven track record of working on scale, preferably as a member of a founding engineering team or in a pivotal role during a company's early stages of growth.

About the Client :

Our Client is a seed-funded startup specialising in AI-driven solutions tailored for the SaaS, Fintech, and Insurance sectors.

They focus on leveraging advanced AI technologies to enhance operational efficiencies and drive growth for businesses in these industries.

Role Overview :

Developing an AI-powered SaaS platform that integrates the core NLP search and content retrieval engine, user-facing conversational experiences, and a low-code widget management console.

They are seeking a passionate and driven Machine Learning engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges in Information Retrieval (IR), Recommendation, Answer Generation (RAG), and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Responsibilities :

- Develop, deploy, and monitor multiple ML models critical to their product offerings.

- Understand the product roadmap, clarify technical ambiguities for the team, and define the overall technical architecture.

- Foster engineering culture and mentor junior engineers in best Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.

- Conduct rigorous code and design reviews to maintain high standards.

- Lead by example through exemplary code and practices, inspiring junior SDEs.

- Drive test-driven development and ensure agile architecture to enhance team agility.

- Collaborate closely with product managers to develop customer-centric solutions, simplifying solutions for efficiency.

- Work closely with the Engineering Leaders and the Co-founder/Data Scientist.

- Deliver high-quality software on schedule to meet customer requirements.

Qualification and Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in building, deploying, and maintaining ML models.

- Strong expertise in architecting scalable systems with a focus on engineering and operational excellence.

- Cost-conscious and committed to software optimization to minimize infrastructure costs.

- Highly self-driven with a proactive learning mindset and a strong focus on execution.

- Enjoy mentoring and developing team members while upholding high engineering standards.

- MS/BS in Computer Science or a highly quantitative field is preferred.

- Experience with AWS SageMaker, ML Flow, Azure, and Kubernetes; familiarity is advantageous.

- Ability to thrive in an agile environment with a continuous integration focus.
