Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with over 6 years of experience, specializing in Power BI and PostgreSQL. You will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable insights, designing robust data models, and building impactful dashboards. This role requires advanced SQL skills, proficiency in Power BI (including DAX and performance tuning), and a strong understanding of data modeling principles to drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports that visualize key business metrics and trends.

- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and develop stored procedures in PostgreSQL to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.

- Perform complex data modeling within Power BI, creating star schemas, defining relationships, and ensuring data integrity for analytical purposes.

- Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) extensively to create complex calculations, measures, and calculated columns for advanced reporting.

- Conduct performance tuning of Power BI reports and underlying SQL queries to ensure optimal loading times and responsiveness.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data solutions.

- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvement.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reports and dashboards.

- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members on data analysis and Power BI best practices.

- Stay updated with the latest features and functionalities of Power BI, PostgreSQL, and data analytics trends.

Required Skills :

- 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role with a strong focus on business intelligence.

- Expertise in Power BI, including dashboard development, report creation, and data visualization best practices.

- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions in PostgreSQL.

- Strong hands-on experience with data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) and their application in Power BI.

- Proven ability to write and optimize DAX expressions for intricate calculations and measures.

- Experience with performance tuning of Power BI dashboards and underlying database queries.

- Solid understanding of relational database management systems, specifically PostgreSQL.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

- Strong communication skills to articulate insights and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
