Position Overview:

The Bench Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the bench sales process, This includes coordinating with recruiters, sales teams, and vendors to optimize placements and meet revenue goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bench sales or IT staffing (10+ years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the IT market and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client/vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of US staffing, and immigration processes.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.


Bench Management:

  • Identify and track available IT consultants ("bench candidates") and their skill sets.
  • Work with recruitment teams to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified consultants.
  • Monitor the status of consultants and their project timelines.


Sales and Marketing:

Market bench consultants to vendors, clients, and preferred suppliers through calls, emails, and networking.

  • Build and maintain relationships with Tier 1 vendors and implementation partners.
  • Identify and generate leads to create new business opportunities.


Vendor and Client Management:

Negotiate terms and contracts with vendors and clients.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and regulations.


Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor the bench sales team, setting performance goals and ensuring achievement.

  • Train and guide junior sales professionals on marketing strategies and best practices.


Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, client interactions, and placement statuses.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on bench utilization, sales performance, and revenue generation.
