Role Description: The role is part of the Cyber Security Identity Access Management (IAM) Controls Team, responsible for delivering top-tier services to internal customers, ensuring cost-effective operations, and providing a platform that supports the Global Access Management strategy for future business growth.

The IAM team works closely with Global Technology to minimize risk by preventing inappropriate access to systems. They ensure that electronic assets are properly monitored, managed, accessed, and protected, so that only individuals with legitimate business needs can access or modify systems when necessary. This is accomplished through an IAM framework and toolset, which measures, monitors, and reports on adherence to standards and IT service performance.


As the Authentication Subject Matter Expert (SME), your role will involve developing, implementing, and monitoring centralized Group IAM authentication controls for staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Security and IAM, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and systems through effective authentication control practices, including but not limited to:

  • Primary Authentication (e.g., Centralized Directory Services)
  • Enhanced Authentication (e.g., Multi-Factor Authentication)
  • Password Management

Your responsibilities will include assessing and reporting on compliance with Authentication Policy, standards, and operational risk controls. Key duties involve:

  • Developing and maintaining authentication control policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and systems, monitoring compliance, and reporting on key control indicators (KCIs).
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Cybersecurity, IT, and business units to ensure authentication control strategies align with organizational goals.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of authentication controls, including credential generation, distribution, storage, use, and destruction.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in authentication controls to identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and enhancements. Additionally, you will scan for regulatory and audit requirements to ensure policies and procedures are current.
  • Delivering training and awareness programs to educate stakeholders on best practices and responsibilities related to authentication controls.

In addition to these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will:

  • Constantly seek ways to improve service delivery while encouraging adherence to control standards.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to change, supporting others in adjusting as needed.
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well in a diverse global environment.

  • Be capable of balancing multiple priorities while staying focused on broader organizational objectives.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in Cyber Security and IAM controls, with a background in supporting IAM initiatives to deliver effective control outcomes.
  • Technical and architectural skills are advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to make timely, rational decisions based on relevant information.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are desirable.
