The ideal candidate should have experience inmocking database interactions, automating tests for stored procedures, and working with complex SQL queriesto validate data consistency and system performance. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintainautomated test frameworksfordatabase and backend testing . Create and executetest cases for stored procedures, triggers, and database functionsto validate business logic and data consistency. Implementmocking techniquesto simulate database interactions and isolate testing components. Develop and maintainunit and integration testsusing mocking frameworks such as Mockito, JMock, or WireMock. Collaborate withdevelopment and DevOps teamsto integrate database tests intoCI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. PerformSQL query validationto ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple environments. Work withAPI testingto validate database interactions using tools like Postman or RestAssured. Identify and report performance bottlenecks in database queries and stored procedures. Implementdata-driven and schema validation teststo verify database changes. Research and implementbest practices for database testing, data virtualization, and test data management . Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ yearsof experience indatabase and backend testing . Strong knowledge ofSQL databases(MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and stored procedure testing. Proficiency inmocking techniquesfor database interactions using Mockito, JMock, WireMock, or similar frameworks. Hands-on experience withunit testing frameworkssuch as JUnit, NUnit, or TestNG. Expertise inwriting complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggersfor test validation. Experience inCI/CD automationwith tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Familiarity withAPI testingand backend validation using Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debugdatabase-related issues . Experience withtest data managementand creating reusable test datasets. Nice to Have: Experience withperformance testing of databasesusing JMeter or Gatling. Knowledge ofNoSQL databases(MongoDB, Redis) and their testing approaches. Exposure tocontainerized environmentswith Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity withsecurity testingtechniques for database vulnerabilities. Understanding ofcloud-based database solutions(AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
