Job DescriptionRole: Backup Administrator L1 Location: Navi MumbaiRole Summary The Backup Administrator L1 is responsible for thedaily operational execution, monitoring, and first-level incident supportfor the enterprise backup infrastructure. This role ensures the successful completion of backup jobs and handles basic restoration requests.Key Responsibilities: Monitoring & Reporting: ExecuteDaily backup Job monitoringand update the Daily Checklist accurately. Acknowledge and perform initial triage on alerts related to backup failures. Client & Job Management: Assist withNetBackup client installationand basic backup commissioning tasks. Perform preparation steps for routine backup types, includingNormal File systemandVM snapshot backup . Execute theManual SAR cycle operationas required. Restoration & Recovery: Fulfill and execute standardData Restoration Requests(Network Backup). Perform basicVM Snapshot Restorationtasks. Storage Operations: Assist with basic storage tasks related to backup copies, includingFS Mounting/UnmountingandDG Import/Deportfor BCV (Business Continuance Volume) based backups.Required Skills & Qualifications: Backup Tool Knowledge: Basic understandingof backup tools, specificallyVeritas NetBackup . Foundational understanding of the backup process flow and its components (daemons). System Fundamentals: Basic knowledge ofServer Hardware, Operating Systems (OS) , and their configuration files. Basic knowledge ofnetworking conceptsrelated to backup communication ( General Skills: Detail-oriented approach for accurate checklist maintenance and reporting. Strong communication skills for escalating unresolved issues clearly.
