Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager specializing in Embedded Systems for our New Product Development (NPD) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electronics design, with expertise in both analogue and digital circuits, gate drivers, snubber circuits, firing circuits, protective circuits, filters, PCB layouts, grounding concepts, and loss calculations. The role requires proficiency in design and simulation tools such as Altium, MATLAB, and ANSYS, along with a good understanding of motorcycle electrical and electronics layout.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop complex electronics systems for new products, focusing on embedded systems integration and functionality.
- Conduct detailed analysis, simulation, and testing of analogue and digital circuits to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to achieve project milestones.
- Lead PCB layout design, ensuring adherence to design guidelines and manufacturing constraints.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any design issues identified during development or testing phases.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in electronic design processes and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 4-8 years of proven experience in electronics design, preferably in automotive or related industries.
- Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, including gate drivers, snubber circuits, firing circuits, protective circuits, and filters.
- Solid understanding of PCB layouts, grounding concepts, and loss calculations.
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as Altium Designer, MATLAB, and ANSYS.
- Familiarity with motorcycle electrical and electronics layout is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with embedded systems design and development.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to electronics design.
- Experience in leading small teams or projects is desirable.
