sales engineer sells complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs and providing tailored technical solutions, acting as a bridge between clients and technical teams. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, developing customized proposals, offering pre- and post-sales technical support, gathering client feedback for product development, and assisting with sales strategy and target achievement. The role requires a blend of strong technical expertise and excellent communication and sales skills. 

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Solutions:

Understand client's technical challenges and provide suitable product solutions. 

Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients. 

Develop and customize technical proposals to meet specific client requirements. 

Customer & Sales Support:

Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities and support complex sales cycles. 

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. 

Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product training to customers. 

Offer after-sales support, troubleshooting issues, and recommending upgrades. 

Product & Market Feedback:

Act as a liaison between sales and product development teams to communicate client needs. 

Gather client feedback and competitive intelligence to inform product improvements. 

Sales Operations:

Help negotiate and close sales by agreeing on terms and conditions. 

Meet sales targets and contribute to customer satisfaction and business growth. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of the products, services, and the technical field in which you work. 

Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve client problems and suggest system improvements. 

Sales Acumen: Skills in persuading clients, negotiation, and achieving sales goals. 

Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service, relationship-building, and teamwork skills. 

Educational Background: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in an engineering, business, or a related technical field.
