Associate Director – Procurement Professional Services



Position Purpose: Responsible for Our Client's Pune and Hyderabad GCC Sourcing Strategy & Operations


Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities :


Our Clients India Procurement Professional Services & consulting strategy, Internal and External Stakeholder management –

  • Develop, lead and execute Our Clients India Sourcing and Category Strategy for professional services covering IT Contingent labor, IT Managed Services & consulting engagements in alignment with Global Sourcing strategy and Our Clients growth strategy.
  • Develop strong relationship with Internal BUs, understand BU’s short- and long-term strategy and translate that into Sourcing strategy that drives business value
  • Management of competitive bid processes including RFP’s, RFI’s, RFQ’s
  • Assuming lead negotiator role and ensuring development, negotiation and execution of favorable contractual arrangements while incorporating expected performance, quality, service and security standards for individual IT spend categories
  • Leading development and execution of a strategic supplier management process targeting deep relationships with select, top tier IT suppliers that are focused on governance
  • Work with managed service provider to ensure supplier optimization
  • Drive compliance/audit initiatives in partnership with Internal Audit, Legal, Procurement and Finance teams (monthly/quarterly billing, background checks, time card approvals)
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure we are meeting business demand and delivering on our customer benefits of speed, quality and experience
  • Maintain and update contingent worker policies to ensure compliance


Policy, Governance, Contract compliance and Value leakages, Supplier Management -

  • Review, update and comply with Principal India and Global Procurement and related policies and standards.
  • Lead Sourcing Governance model to ensure strategic supplier’s service delivery meets PGS business needs
  • Enforce contract compliance with respect to rates/ costs, SLAs, and other contractual terms in Master Service Agreement. Identify Value leakages, prepare and drive proposals to plug it.
  • Lead financial governance and management of all professional services category by budget tracking and provisioning, enforcing invoicing controls, supporting audit and related queries and reporting
  • Perform supplier risk assessments, maintain supplier performance scorecard by seeking inputs from internal stakeholders and take necessary actions to improve supplier’s performance
  • Prepare and Maintain Contingent Labor dashboard and prepare adhoc reports as requested.
  • Contract drafting and negotiations on various terms of purchasing agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Data Privacy/Data Transfer Agreements.
  • Support Internal audit process, perform RCA and implement short- and long-term solutions to close the observations.
  • Lead and own all activities related to IT contingent labor
  • Operates independently and frequently interacts with program leaders and partners to help set and execute strategic guidance
  • Frequently connect with our Client stakeholders to understand their experience. Identify themes and pain points and make recommendations for program improvement


Risk Management -

  • Build, implement and monitor Third-Party Risk Management framework (TPRM) in partnership with internal teams such as Risk management, Info Sec and Infrastructure to ensure compliance to all internal policies as well as country regulatory requirements


Key Skills for successful delivery of this role –

  • 17+ years of end-to-end procurement experience with 5+ of leading professional services & consulting categories in an Indian service sector located in SPTI/ SEZ unit with a strong GCC / GIC experience in the current role
  • 5 or more years working with MSPs and VMSs in a large corporate, global environment
  • Ability to lead, consult large scale IT Managed services requirements from sourcing perspective
  • Networks externally with industry and international experts to facilitate effective strategic intelligence, including emerging/potential sources of competitive advantage, global economic conditions
  • Extremely customer-focused, taking the time to understand the needs of the business.
  • Strong analytical skills, practices fact‐based decision making, leverage market data, spend analytics, cost modeling and delivering Sourcing recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Exposure to any Source to Pay / ERP tool
  • Adaptable and flexible, ready to get hands on as per the business needs.
  • Passionate self-starter with the highest integrity and ethics
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members
  • Experience with VMS, and knowledge of procurement/Finance systems


Educational Qualification, Certifications, Training -

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Industry recognized certifications like CIPS /CPSM/ equivalent is preferred
