As the Business Applications Lead, you will be a key leader responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, optimization, and support of our critical suite of business applications. You will work closely with various business units to understand their needs, identify opportunities for improvement through technology, and ensure our application landscape effectively supports our operational and strategic objectives.

This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, business process understanding, project management skills, and the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and user satisfaction of our core business applications.

1. Application Portfolio Management :

- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for our business applications portfolio, aligning with business goals and identifying opportunities for improving business processes, innovation and optimization.

- Oversee the entire lifecycle of our business applications, including selection, implementation, upgrades, maintenance, and retirement.

- Lead the design and implementation of new business applications and enhancements to existing systems, ensuring they meet business needs and technical requirements.

- Oversee the integration of various business applications to ensure seamless data flow and efficient business processes.

- Ensure the provision of effective and timely support for business applications, establishing clear service level agreements and driving continuous improvement in support processes.

- Monitor the performance of business applications, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and user experience.

- Develop and deliver training programs and documentation to facilitate user adoption and effective utilization of business applications.

2. Business Partnership :

- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders across various departments to understand their processes, challenges, and functional / application requirements.

- Translate business needs into scalable and compliant application solutions.

- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data within business applications, adhering to data governance policies.

3. Project Leadership :

- Lead application implementation, enhancement, and rollout projects using agile or waterfall methodology.

- Prepare business cases, solution design documents, and project charters ensuring successful and timely delivery.

4. GxP & Regulatory Compliance :

- Ensure all business applications comply with regulatory standards ((ALCOA+), 21 CFR Part 11, and GAMP 5 guideline) & internal policies.

- Support CSV (Computer System Validation) documentation and audit readiness.

5. Vendor Management :

- Manage relationships with business application vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met, contract adherence, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment.

6. Change & Release Management :

- Maintain proper change control, release cycles, and test documentation.

- Drive UAT, regression testing, and training of key users.

7. Communication & Collaboration :

- Effectively communicate application-related information to both technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate effectively with IT infrastructure teams and business stakeholders.

8. Team Leadership :

- Lead a team of business analysts, functional, application specialists & developers.

- Recruit, mentor, and develop team, building a skilled and engaged team capable of meeting current and future challenges.

- Set KRAs, conduct performance reviews, and build talent pipelines.

- Provide strong leadership and direction to the team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and service-oriented culture.

Qualifications & Experience :

- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / IT / MCA

- 10-15 years of experience in managing & supporting business applications in pharma or process manufacturing.

- Relevant certifications would be desirable(e.g., in project management, SAP etc.,).

- Knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV, GAMP5 and Data Integrity (ALCOA+)

- 6 days a week
