We are seeking a motivatedAutomation Engineerto design, build, and maintain internal workflows and integrations that power to global operations.Role Overview The Automation Engineer will be responsible for building and optimizing workflows using automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier)alongside scripting and API integrations. This role will sit within our India offshore team and work closely with Altrio’s global Data Services & Professional Services leaders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing SaaS company, work with modern automation tools, and grow into a specialist role in AI-driven workflows.Key Responsibilities: Workflow Automation:Design, build, and maintain automation workflows usingn8n(training provided) and other low-code/no-code platforms. Integrations & APIs:Work with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON to integrate applications (Google Workspace, Slack, CRMs, databases, etc.). Scripting & Custom Logic:Write scripts inJavaScript/Pythonfor data transformation,error handling, and custom automation nodes. Database Operations:Query and update SQL/NoSQL databases as part of automation pipelines. Deployment & Maintenance:Manage and optimize workflows for scalability, performance, and error handling. Collaboration:Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Documentation:Maintain clear technical documentation for workflows and integrations.Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1–3 years of experience inautomation, integrations, or backend engineering . Strong understanding ofAPIs, webhooks, JSON, and data flows . Hands-on experience withat least one workflow automation platform(Zapier, Make.com, UiPath, Blue Prism, or internal tooling). Solid programming knowledge inJavaScript(preferred) orPython . Familiarity withSQLfor data manipulation and queries. Good written and spoken communication skills. Quick learner with ability to pick up new platforms liken8n .Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience withDockerand cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). Exposure toAI/LLM APIs(OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.). Knowledge of ETL pipelines or workflow orchestration tools.
