Senior Manager

Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager - Insights to lead the end-to-end management and delivery of high-impact market research and insights projects. The role requires exceptional expertise in market research, project management, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and commercial acumen to ensure seamless execution, strategic positioning, and continuous improvement of the Insights function.The ideal candidate will balance execution excellence with strategic vision, driving team development, client engagement, and innovation in data and technology utilization.Key Responsibilities:1. Effective Project Management and Delivery- Gather and analyze client requirements to build comprehensive report outlines and deliver tailored solutions.- Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.- Delegate tasks strategically, aligning responsibilities with team members' strengths and expertise.- Collaborate with clients and account leads to manage expectations, align on objectives, and deliver within agreed timelines.- Maintain meticulous attention to detail while balancing multiple priorities.2. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement and Insight Development- Partner with internal stakeholders to address business requirements across diverse service categories and industries.- Customize sources, formats, and research parameters to align with global insight needs.- Enhance team visibility by engaging senior management and promoting the value of the Insights team across the organization.- Develop and implement a communication plan to highlight key contributions, driving more report requests and strengthening the team's strategic positioning.3. Team Development and Leadership Nurturing- Provide quarterly performance feedback to highlight strengths, address gaps, and create growth opportunities.- Identify and mentor emerging leaders, providing guidance to help them showcase their talents.- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration, brainstorming, and idea-sharing.- Continuously assess and enhance researchers' expertise through structured feedback and development initiatives.4. Commercial Knowledge, Finance Engagement, and Workforce Planning- Build commercial acumen by deepening understanding of costing processes and pricing models.- Develop standardized costing guidelines and charge sheets for different report types.- Collaborate with Finance to map clients under company service categories.- Manage project IDs, contract terms, and chargeability metrics to ensure accurate reporting.- Optimize resource allocation and workforce planning for scalability and efficiency.5. Enhancing Data Utilization and Technological Advancement- Leverage public, subscription-based, and other platforms to strengthen data-driven insights in reports.- Stay updated on technological innovations, databases, and market trends to enhance efficiency and accuracy.- Drive adoption of new tools and practices to expand APAC coverage and enrich deliverables.- Strategically integrate emerging technologies to streamline processes and maximize impact.Qualifications & Skills:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Management, Market Research, or a related field.- 6-10 years of experience in core market research, insights, or research-led roles.- Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.- Commercial acumen with an understanding of costing, finance, and resource planning.- Hands-on experience with data tools (e.g., Naukri, LinkedIn, online databases, etc.) preferred.- Ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.Key Competencies:- Strategic Thinking & Execution- Stakeholder Management- Team Leadership & Mentoring- Commercial & Financial Acumen- Data-Driven Decision Making- Collaboration & Inclusion (ref:iimjobs.com)
