Job Opportunity: Team Lead – Controls (Hands on Exp in Siemens PLC, Baggage Handling System , Material Handling) Location:Pune (Kharadi) Reports to:Project Manager Engineering / Manager Engineering We are looking for aSenior Team Lead – Controlsto lead a dynamic team of engineers in designing and implementing advanced control systems for large-scaleBaggage Handling Systems (BHS)andParcel Handling Solutions . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who wants to combineleadership, technical expertise, and global project exposure , delivering automation solutions that ensure operational excellence in airports and parcel hubs worldwide. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of 15+ Controls Engineers, ensuring skill and competency development. Manage team escalations, daily resource allocation, hiring, and subcontracting activities. Identify training needs and implement structured training programs. Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Project Management, Service, and R&D teams as a consultant. Monitor project risks and opportunities, driving improvements across teams. Ensure system performance validation through thoroughFAT/SAT testing . Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and disruptions. Drivecontinuous improvement initiativesand contribute to department KPIs. Provide technical oversight during commissioning and ensure smooth customer handovers. Willingness to travel internationally (short-term) for project execution and team management. Key Competencies Strong leadership with proven experience managing 8 + engineers . Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global, high-demand project environments. Strong planning and organizational abilities with a focus on delivery withintime and budget . Proactive, innovative, and improvement-driven mindset. Technical Expertise Strong knowledge ofSiemens PLC(mandatory) andAllen Bradley PLC(preferred). Hands-on experience in the design and execution of integrated control systems. Ability to align control designs with mechanical, electrical, and software project goals. Skilled in preparing and executing detailed project plans and schedules. Experience in driving standardization and process improvement across multiple projects. Practical involvement in commissioning and customer delivery phases. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree inElectronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering(or related field). 7 t0 10 years of experiencein PLC programming (Siemens required; Allen Bradley a plus).
