Description :Job Summary :Looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Functional Tester with up to 2 years of experience (including internships) in manual testing to join our QA team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating software functionality against business requirements, identifying defects, and ensuring the product meets expected standards.Key Responsibilities :- Understand functional requirements and create test scenarios and test cases.- Execute test cases manually and report bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.- Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand and clarify requirements.- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.- Maintain proper documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.- Perform basic regression, smoke, and sanity testing.Required Skills :- Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.- Good knowledge of test design techniques and test case preparation.- Exposure to any bug-tracking tool (JIRA preferred).- Ability to write simple SQL queries to validate data.- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.- Clear communication, both verbal and written.Preferred Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (optional but preferred).- Exposure to Agile methodology is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
