Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in data analysis, data modelling, and business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience using dbt (Data Build Tool), at least 2 years of working knowledge with BigQuery or Snowflake, and hands-on experience with one of the following BI tools: Looker, Sigma, or Metabase. A solid understanding of the ecommerce industry is essential for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective data models using dbt (Data Build Tool).
  • Utilise BigQuery or Snowflake to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Looker, Sigma, or Metabase to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the ecommerce industry.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform business strategies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data quality checks.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modelling.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with BigQuery or Snowflake as data warehousing solutions.
  • Proficiency in one of the following BI tools: Looker, Sigma, or Metabase.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the ecommerce industry and its metrics.
  • Excellent SQL skills and familiarity with data modeling concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
