About Position:We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Developer with 8–12 years of hands-on experience in COBOL and related mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical applications in a legacy mainframe environment. Enhance and debug existing legacy applications to improve performance and reliability. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Perform system analysis, design documentation, and code reviews. Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution. Participate in modernization and migration initiatives, including integration with newer platforms. Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and performance benchmarks. Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Utilize tools like Endevor, Changeman, CA7, and AbendAid for version control and job scheduling.Expertise You'll Bring:8–12 years of hands-on experience in COBOL programming within enterprise-grade mainframe environments. Strong command over JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF. Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain complex batch and online applications. Expertise in performance tuning, code optimization, and error debugging using tools like AbendAid, Xpediter, and File-AID. Experience with version control and job scheduling tools such as Endevor, Changeman, and CA7. Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and production support processes. Ability to analyze legacy systems and contribute to modernization or migration initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
