The Product Director plays a crucial role in leading the product development and management team, driving product strategy and innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products.
This position is vital for fostering innovation and alignment with market needs, as well as for the overall success of the organization.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the product development and management processes, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the organization.
- Develop and execute product strategies to meet market demands and drive revenue growth.
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and trends, and use the insights to develop product roadmaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and engineering, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product management.
- Drive the prioritization and execution of product features and enhancements based on customer needs and feedback.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond, including product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product team, providing guidance and support in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in product development processes and tools to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Manage and optimize the product portfolio to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy and goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand market and customer needs, and translate them into innovative and competitive product solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in product management to drive continuous innovation and improvement.
- Represent the product team in executive meetings and effectively communicate product strategy, progress, and challenges.
- Drive a culture of innovation, excellence, and customer focus within the product team and across the organization.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in product management with a successful track record of launching and managing high-impact products across their life cycles.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to build, mentor, and motivate high-performing product teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with an ability to synthesize complex information into clear product plans and roadmaps.
- Proficiency in market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and customer research to drive product strategy and innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization.
- Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and experience in leading agile product development teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in defining and monitoring product KPIs and using data to drive product decisions and improvements.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy to drive product profitability and revenue growth.
- Demonstrated success in creating and executing successful go-to-market strategies and product launches.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product management and development.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, partners, and industry events.
- Proven ability to drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centric thinking within the product team and organization.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Pragmatic Marketing Certified (PMC) are a plus.
