Job Summary:

Looks Salon is seeking a creative and experienced Social Media Strategist to join our dynamic team. The Social Media Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and conversions across various platforms. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and marketing knowledge to create content, build communities, and drive results on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and others.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Design and implement social media strategies that align with business goals.
  • Identify target audiences and tailor strategies to engage them effectively.
  • Develop content calendars and campaign strategies to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Create long-term and short-term goals for social media growth and engagement.

2. Content Creation & Curation:

  • Collaborate with the content creation team to produce high-quality, engaging, and on-brand posts, videos, graphics, and other media.
  • Curate and repurpose content from internal and external sources to maintain audience interest.
  • Write compelling copy for posts, captions, and advertisements.
  • Oversee visual consistency across social media platforms.

3. Community Engagement:

  • Monitor social media platforms for brand mentions and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages.
  • Build and manage relationships with influencers, industry leaders, and followers.
  • Create campaigns that foster active engagement and build a loyal community around the brand.

4. Analytics & Reporting:

  • Use social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) to track, measure, and report on the performance of campaigns.
  • Analyze data to optimize strategies and tactics for increased effectiveness.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance metrics.


5. Paid Social Advertising:

  • Manage and optimize paid social media campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Ads).
  • Set and manage budgets for paid campaigns, ensuring cost-effective reach and performance.
  • A/B test ad creatives, copy, and targeting strategies to enhance ROI.


6. Brand Monitoring & Trend Analysis:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Monitor competitor social media activity and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Proactively recommend new social platforms or tactics to explore based on emerging trends.


7. Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, PR, and customer service, to ensure a unified approach to branding and messaging.
  • Work closely with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and other content creators.
  • Provide training or guidance to team members on social media best practices.


8. Crisis Management:

  • Monitor social media channels for potential issues or negative feedback.
  • Respond to crisis situations or escalations swiftly and appropriately, ensuring a positive brand image is maintained.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.


Preferred Skills:

  • Proven track record of managing successful social media campaigns.
  • Familiarity with content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
  • Understanding of SEO and how social media impacts search rankings.
  • Ability to create high-quality content under tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and ability to execute innovative strategies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
