Job Description

Job Summary: Nalanda Vidya Niketan is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Western Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various Western dance styles and a passion for teaching students at different skill levels. As a Western Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging dance lessons, preparing students for performances and competitions, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive Western dance curriculum for students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Teach a variety of Western dance styles, including but not limited to hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and street dance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and discipline.
  • Develop and conduct dance routines for school performances, competitions, and special events.
  • Provide individualized feedback and coaching to help students improve their dance skills and reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to coordinate dance-related activities and events.
  • Maintain a safe and organized dance studio environment, ensuring compliance with school policies and safety regulations.
  • Keep records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
  • Stay updated on current trends and techniques in Western dance to continuously improve teaching methods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Western Dance Teacher or Dance Instructor.
  • Proficiency in multiple Western dance styles, with the ability to teach a variety of genres.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience in choreographing and directing dance performances.
  • Knowledge of child development and educational psychology.
  • Certifications in dance instruction or teaching methods.
  • Experience in competitive dance coaching or judging.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Teaching certification. Proven experience as a Primary Social science Teacher (1 - 3) years Excellent Communication Skills. Strong passion for education and fostering a love for Social Science in young learners Should have good knowledge of subject with good experience. Students handling skills in the classroom.
