Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis. This role will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations


Responsibilities:

  1. Month-End Close: Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Review and analyze financial data to identify variances and trends.
  2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
  3. Internal Controls: Maintain and follow internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial transactions. Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Audit Support: Assist with pulling support for external audits, providing documentation and explanations as required. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Financial Reporting: Assist with preparation and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and management, to support business objectives and initiatives. Provide financial expertise and guidance as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Chartered Accountant certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
