Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Chennai. This is a permanent, work-from-office position. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in building and managing robust data pipelines and data architectures within the AWS ecosystem. You will be instrumental in leveraging AWS Glue (PySpark), Athena, SQL, and Quicksight to deliver efficient, scalable, and reliable data solutions, contributing to our data analytics and business intelligence capabilities.

What Were Looking For :

- 5+ years of dedicated experience in data engineering roles.

- Strong expertise in AWS Glue (PySpark) for designing, developing, and optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

- Proficiency in AWS Athena, SQL, and Quicksight for data querying, analysis, and visualization.

- Solid understanding of data lake architecture, data modeling principles, and the broader AWS ecosystem. This includes hands-on experience with services such as Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, and IAM (Identity and Access Management).

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue (PySpark) for ingesting, transforming, and loading large datasets from various sources.

- Implement and optimize data processing jobs using Apache Spark within the AWS Glue environment.

- Build and manage data models within our data lake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.

- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using tools like AWS Athena.

- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using AWS Quicksight to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.

- Work extensively with Amazon S3 for data lake storage, managing data lifecycles, and optimizing access patterns.

- Utilize AWS Lambda for event-driven data processing and automation within data pipelines.

- Administer and optimize data warehouses on Amazon Redshift.

- Implement and manage IAM policies and roles to ensure secure access to data and AWS resources.

- Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.

- Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

- Participate in the design and review of data architecture, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering processes and standards.

Nice to Have :

- Fintech domain experience, understanding of financial data, and regulatory compliance.

- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.

- Experience with large-scale data lake implementations, including governance and metadata management.
