Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement resilient database infrastructure on Azure for PostgreSQL and Oracle workloads.

- Optimize database performance, availability, and scalability using advanced monitoring and tuning techniques.

- Automate database provisioning, patching, and backup processes using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with application and platform teams to ensure seamless integration of database services.

- Establish and enforce best practices for observability, incident response, and root cause analysis for database systems.

- Lead database reliability initiatives and mentor junior engineers in SRE practices.

Required Skills :

- 8 - 10 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Database Administration roles focused on PostgreSQL and Oracle.

- Expertise in Azure database services including Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and Oracle on Azure VMs.

- Proficiency in SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and stored procedure management.

- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD platforms like GitLab.

- Strong understanding of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor) and incident management workflows.

- Knowledge of security and compliance practices for enterprise-grade database systems.
