Job Overview: 

As a Senior Accountant / Finance Manager , you will be responsible for managing all accounting operations within the company, including the preparation of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and management of budgets and forecasts. Should be able to liaise with bankers and auditors for submission of timely documentation. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements as per Indian regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

This is a full-time on-site role in Doddaballapur, Bangalore

Qualifications

• Expertise in accounting principles and practices, financial analysis, and budget management
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel, Outlook
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Professional certification is a plus

Responsibilities:

1) Financial Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage all accounting transactions and oversee general ledger reconciliation.
• Ensure timely bank payments and manage payroll processing.

2) Taxation and Compliance:

• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with all statutory tax requirements including GST, TDS, and corporate tax obligations.
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislation in India.
• Handle statutory audits by external auditors and coordinate with them to ensure compliance with statutory norms.

3) Budgeting and Forecasts:

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies and variances.

4) Internal Controls and Procedures:

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

5) Financial Analysis and Advisory:

• Provide financial analysis and advice to management for decision making.
• Optimize and improve financial systems and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
• Experience with creating financial statements and comprehensive knowledge of accounting software such as Tally.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Experience with ERP preferred.
