About the Role:
As we embark on establishing a next-generation manufacturing facility at Butibori, we are looking for a visionary and execution-focused Deputy CTO to spearhead the technological and operational setup of our manufacturing units. This role will be pivotal in laying down world-class processes, integrating modern technologies, and ensuring high productivity and quality standards aligned with global best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the CTO in defining and executing the technology roadmap for plant operations and product development.
- Evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing technologies (automation, digitization, Industry 4.0 solutions).
- Drive process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
- Lead the technical aspects of setting up greenfield manufacturing operations - layout planning, machinery selection, utility integration, and process commissioning.
- Oversee installation, trials, calibration, and handover of production equipment to operations teams.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to ensure efficient design-to-manufacturing workflows.
- Provide leadership to production engineering, tooling, and automation teams.
- Work with technology providers, equipment manufacturers, EPC contractors, and process consultants for capex execution and scale-up.
- Ensure high standards of technical due diligence and vendor performance.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 18-25 years of experience in core manufacturing operations, engineering, or technology leadership roles. Must have hands-on experience in setting up or scaling up manufacturing plants.
- Industry: Candidates from solar module manufacturing, battery assembly (Li-ion or similar), energy storage, automotive components, or electronics will be preferred.
- Knowledge Base: Strong grounding in automation, plant engineering, cleanroom environments, utilities (HVAC, power), and safety standards.
- Leadership Traits: Structured thinker, decisive, team-oriented, and able to drive large technical teams through complex project cycles.
- Location Preference: Open to relocation to Butibori/Nagpur; prior experience in Maharashtra-based industrial setups will be valued.
