Small accounting firm is looking to add experienced bookkeeper/tax preparer:ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE WORKED WITH US BASED CLIENTS FOR ACCOUNTING AND TAX PREPARATION. Your application will not be considered if you don't have US based CPA firm experienceThe ideal candidate will prepare/review the bookkeeping and tax return, only apply if you can support USPACIFIC HOURS UP TO 2 PM PST AND HAVE EXPERTISE WITH QBO AND QBD and professional tax software* We provide clients with monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping and tax planning and tax preparation services. * Monthly bookkeeping - Record, categorize and reconcile bank and credit card transactions, journal entries as required, payroll processing and recording payroll * Experience preferred with sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation * Must be fully capable of preparing profit and loss and balance sheets with zero supervision. Must be capable of reviewing bookkeeper's work and provide training on any mistakes so they are not made in the future. Must understand how accounting ties to the corporate tax return. Interact with clients as needed, Make sure financials are accurate before sending to the client. * The position will start as part-time with the potential to be a year-round full-time job.All work is done remotely. Preference will be given to candidates that are in the pacific time zone. Position to start immediately. Individuals only, no firms.* Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop and Online, Xero, other accounting software and payroll software such as Gusto, ADP, etc * Preference for QBO certified * Ability to handle multiple clients at the same time without compromising quality * Working knowledge of tax software - how many years of experience you have * Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and direction * Possess a proactive work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines * Consistently demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy *At least 2 years’ Experience working in a CPA office or accounting firm * Minimum of 2-4 years of bookkeeping experience. * Bachelors/Masters with Accounting major or CPA/CA * Excellent verbal and written skill in English
