The ideal candidate should possess 3 to 10+ years of post-qualification experience in Direct Taxation and Core Litigation, demonstrating strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities. The role involves managing complex tax matters, handling assessments and appeals, and supporting clients with high quality advisory and compliance services.Key Manage and oversee all aspects of Direct Tax compliance, advisory, and litigation for corporate and individual clients.- Represent clients before tax authorities, handle assessments, appeals( CIT ) OR (ITAT ), and other legal proceedings eiciently.- Review and finalize tax computations, returns, and related documentation in accordance with applicable laws.- Provide strategic tax advisory on corporate restructuring, transactions, and other business decisions.- Draft and review submissions, appeals, and legal documents for tax litigation matters.- Stay updated on amendments in income tax laws, judicial rulings, and CBDT notifications to ensure accurate guidance.- Lead and mentor junior team members, including article trainees, to ensure timely delivery and quality work.- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify risk areas and suggest eective tax planning solutions.- Assist management in building client relationships and exploring business development opportunities in the Direct Tax domain.Required Skills & Competencies:- Strong technical knowledge in Direct Tax laws, compliance, and litigation.- Proven experience in drafting replies, appeals, and handling tax assessments.- Excellent understanding of Indian Income Tax Act, judicial precedents, and regulatory frameworks.- Elective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.- Leadership qualities with a focus on mentoring and team development.
