Position: Field Application Scientist (FAS) Location:Mumbai/Hyderabad/Bengaluru (covering Pan India customer base)Overview Our client is seeking aField Application Scientist (FAS)to provide expert-level training, support, and application optimization for their advanced range of instruments, includingSurface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Flow Cytometers, Seahorse XF Analyzers,andImaging & Multimode Microplate Readers (MMR) .This role is ideal for professionals passionate aboutcutting-edge scientific instrumentation, cell-based assay development,andproblem-solving , who enjoy working closely withresearchers, scientists, and sales teamsto drive innovation in life sciences and diagnostics.Role and Responsibilities Conduct on-site training and optimization for end-users and sales teams on advanced scientific instruments. Provide scientific and technical support to customers, sales teams, and product management. Develop expert-level proficiency in instrument software and stay updated on emerging assays. Lead customer demonstrations, optimizing experimental workflows and troubleshooting assays. Support customers incell-based assay design and optimization , including metabolic and immunological applications. Assist in data generation forApplication Noteson new and emerging applications. Representour clientat industry conferences, vendor shows, and scientific seminars. Maintain detailed reports in CRM systems to track customer interactions, training sessions, and field activities.Qualifications and Experience Education: Advanced degree (M.Sc. / Ph.D.) inMolecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology,or a related life science field. Experience: Minimum2 years of hands-on experiencein animaging core lab, flow cytometry, cell culture,orhigh-content screening (HCS)environment. Prior experience incell culture techniques(adherent and suspension cells) andcell-based assay development. Exposure toimmunology-based assays(ELISA, ELISpot, flow-based immunophenotyping, or cytokine analysis) is astrong plus. Technical Skills: Expertise inFlow Cytometers, Microscopy, Imaging,andHCS instrumentation. Strong knowledge ofSPR, fluorescent imaging, widefield,andconfocal microscopy. Experience with fluorescence and luminescence-based assays ( TRF, FRET, AlphaScreen, FP,etc.). Proficiency inimage analysis software(ImageJ, CellProfiler, or similar). Strong troubleshooting skills for instrumentation and assay optimization. Advanced computer and data analysis skills;experience in LIMS preferred.Travel Requirements Willingness to travel up to50%for customer training and support.
