Role

As a Senior Unreal Developer, you will lead the charge in creating immersive experiences, shaping the future of engagement technology. Your role involves developing clean, optimized code, innovative tools, and rigorously testing solutions to ensure unparalleled user experiences from development to deployment. If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of XR technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will have the chance to influence both technical and creative directions, collaborating closely with UX designers and fellow developers to craft exceptional XR experiences. You will contribute to internal prototypes and deliver high-quality products for IP and brand clients across various mediums, including VR, AR, and real-time animation. If you are excited about pushing the limits of visual storytelling and eager to shape the future of immersive technology, we would love to hear from you


Responsibilities

  • Developing clean, optimized high and low-level code in the engine within the designed framework.
  • Program tools in Unreal Engine to solve complex problems and optimize workflows.
  • Creating plugins and tools to improve team workflows and efficiency for third-party applications (e.g. Blender) as needed.
  • Testing solutions rigorously to identify and correct bugs.
  • Researching and implementing advancements in world generation and photorealism.
  • Strategizing new product features to meet client needs and market demands.
  • Collaborating closely with design teams from specification through production.
  • Guiding artists and developers to maintain design standards and optimization.
  • Mentoring junior team members and sharing expertise to foster growth.
  • Writing and documenting high-quality, efficient code for utilization within new and ongoing projects.
  • Helping manage and deploy XR solutions, including pushing builds through MDM software, and testing builds to ensure they work in the user end state.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of practical experience with Unreal Engine, including UE5 editor plugin development.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Blueprint scripting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of game engine architecture.
  • Experience & passion for VR, AI, and immersive technologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a logical and methodical approach.
  • Independence in work, with minimal need for supervision.
  • Strong user empathy, with the ability to identify and solve user-level problems.
  • Keen observational skills, with an aptitude for identifying and improving suboptimal processes.
  • An enthusiastic approach to learning, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, with the drive to lead projects to successful completion.
  • Basic understanding of Full/MERN Stack technologies (preferred).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Perforce) and continuous integration/deployment workflows.
  • Experience in 3D asset creation, shader creation, rigging, or procedural animation logic.
