Position: Agriculture Warehousing Expert
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Industry: Agriculture, Warehousing, Supply Chain
Education: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A professional diploma in Warehouse Management or Logistics is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role, particularly in handling agricultural produce.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Warehousing Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our agriculture warehousing facilities. This role will be responsible for optimizing storage, ensuring the quality and integrity of agricultural produce, and maintaining efficient, compliant operations. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in managing large-scale warehousing operations in the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management: Strategically manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of agricultural products in alignment with company policies and industry standards.
- Inventory Control: Oversee and implement inventory control systems to monitor stock levels, minimize wastage, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure proper quality preservation of agricultural commodities through scientific storage methods and regular quality checks.
- Process Optimization: Develop and enhance operational processes to improve warehousing efficiency, reduce costs, and meet performance targets.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards, government regulations, and hygiene protocols within the warehouse.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team, ensuring high levels of performance and professional development.
- Vendor & Client Relations: Manage relationships with vendors and clients, ensuring timely service delivery and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills :
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS), ERP systems, and other inventory management tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of agricultural commodities, warehousing best practices, and government regulations related to the storage and distribution of produce.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, drive operational excellence, and make strategic decisions.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to analyse operational data and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Additional Competencies:
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Knowledge of environmentally sustainable warehousing practices and experience in implementing such initiatives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with supply chain logistics for agricultural products, including cold storage and handling of perishables.
