Tcs HiringTCS is having virtual interview for skill DB2 Database administrator At TCS Kolkata location on 30th Oct 2025exp req:9 to 15 yrsMode Of interview: VirtualJDDesired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)Must-Have- 9–15 years of experience as a DB2 Database Administrator. - In-depth knowledge of db2 database versions 10.5, 11.1, 11.5, 12 etc. - Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 LUW and/or DB2 z/OS database platforms. - Database Administration – DB2 LUW Support critical production environment. - Familiarity with monitoring tools like db2top, IBM Data Server Manager. - Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization. - Experience with DB2 commands: - Stop/Start Databases, Display command, Cancel thread and Term & Display utility, others. - Hands on experience on DB2 utilities: Reorg and Runstat, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy & recover), Repair, Load/Unload utilities. - Ability to bind/rebind the Plans/Packages and Granting required accesses to Packages/Plans/Collections. - Experience in Database replication – IBM DB2 Data Propagator. - DB2 administration - Strong Troubleshooting skills. - Must have performed Db2 migration - Addition and removal of hosts from the cluster manager and shared file system. - Good communication skills with both technical and management teamsGood-to-Have- Experience with remote installation and configuration of the Db2 pure scale feature. - Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL DB administration. - Experience in database security auditing and compliance. - Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform tools for database deployment automation. - Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) are a strong plus. - Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures.
