About the Job : We are seeking a Mainframes Lead to join our team in Chennai. This is a full-time position requiring 8-10 years of experience in mainframe technologies, with a minimum of 5 years in a technical leadership role. The work schedule is from 2 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM IST.Key Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a team of mainframe developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.- Manage source code and change management using tools like Endevor or IDZee, and Harvest or Gitlab.- Schedule and monitor batch jobs using job schedulers such as ESP or Control M.- Interact with and manage databases, specifically IMS DB and DB2, to ensure data integrity and application functionality.- Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Ensure the team follows best practices for coding, testing, and documentation.- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Required Skills and Qualifications : - A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 8-10 years of experience in mainframe development and support.- A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing a technical team.- Proficiency in COBOL and JCL.- Experience with source control management tools like Endevor, IDZee, Harvest, or Gitlab.- Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools such as ESP or Control M.- In-depth knowledge of IMS DB and DB2 databases.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
