Job Summary : We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Cypress and/or Playwright to join our QA team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automation testing, a deep understanding of test frameworks, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the stability, performance, and quality of our Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain functional and integration test cases to validate application functionality across platforms.- Review existing test cases, identify test gaps and cover edge cases or complex user scenarios.- Perform manual and automated test execution, analyze results, and generate detailed test reports.- Investigate server logs, backend systems, and databases to provide detailed and actionable bug reports.- Work closely with development teams to reproduce issues and ensure quick resolution.- Monitor and report on quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect counts.- Design and implement test automation frameworks using Cypress and/or Playwright.- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.- Continuously improve test processes, tools, and documentation to align with best Skills & Qualifications : - 7 to 14 years of experience in automation testing, with hands-on experience in Cypress and/or Playwright.- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting, and test lifecycle.- Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and test reporting tools.- Familiarity with debugging techniques, server log analysis, and basic SQL/database querying.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and self-driven attitude.- Experience in working within Agile/Scrum environments (ref:hirist.tech)
