About the Role :
ZettaMine is seeking a skilled and proactive Unified Communications (UC) Implementation Engineer to join our growing team. This role requires a hands-on engineer with extensive experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting enterprise UC solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication platforms that empower collaboration across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, and deployment of Unified Communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Cisco Unified Communications, Zoom, or similar solutions.
- Integrate UC systems with core enterprise infrastructure including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SIP trunking, Session Border Controllers (SBC), and telephony gateways.
- Troubleshoot and resolve UC platform issues related to voice quality, video conferencing, endpoint devices, call routing, and interoperability.
- Collaborate with network, security, and IT teams to design and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable communication environments.
- Conduct system health checks, performance monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure optimal operation of UC services.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system architectures, implementation plans, configurations, network diagrams, and change management logs.
- Support migration and upgrade activities for UC platforms while minimizing user impact.
- Provide training and technical support to internal IT teams and end-users as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in Unified Communications and collaboration tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Unified Communications technologies.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Cisco UC platforms, Zoom, or equivalent UC solutions.
- Deep understanding of VoIP technologies and protocols including SIP, RTP, SDP, MGCP, and H.323.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Session Border Controllers (SBCs), IP telephony, conferencing infrastructure, and messaging systems.
- Proficiency in integrating UC platforms with Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and SIP trunking.
- Familiarity with endpoint device management and troubleshooting (desk phones, softphones, video endpoints).
- Solid networking knowledge, including QoS, VLANs, firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, and security best practices related to UC environments.
- Ability to analyze call quality issues and apply VoIP troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with automation and scripting for UC deployment and monitoring is a plus.
