Position:

Title                 : Sr. Engineer / Engineer – Welding (Production)

Location          : Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh – India

Reporting        : Manager – Production

Job Purpose:

Welding engineer with good welding process knowledge. Also having knowledge on P91 / F91, low alloy steels and Carbon steel materials with GTAW, SMAW, FCAW & SAW process.

Key Accountabilities:

Ü Preparing and getting customer / third party approvals on WPS & PQR’s according to standards (ASME / EN / Project specifications).

Ü Plan and qualify welders (WPQ) according to standards (ASME / EN / Client specifications)

Ü Plan and manage the welding production load.

Ü Preparing technical reports and work summaries.

Ü Ensuring the welding is performing as per approved WPS with qualified welders.

Ü Performing fit-up inspection (misalignment, groove angle, root opening, preheat requirements etc.) & final inspection of weld joints.

Ü Indenting and Inspection of Electrodes and filler wires as per Standards and Project specification.

Ü Plan and organize PWHT as and when required.

Ü Coordination for radiography testing of weld joints .

Ü Plan and organize welding consumables and accessories.

Ü Maintaining and ensuring all welding equipment is in working order.

Ü Taking charge of welding projects.

Ü Analysing engineering drawings and designs for welding requirements.

Ü Ensure conformance to required HSE standards

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:


Ü Sound knowledge in welding technology / relevant standards ASME / EN / IBR.

Ü CSWIP 3.1 welding certification is mandatory. Having IWE is beneficial.

Ü Good knowledge on metals, Carbon steels, Low alloy steels, overlay and hard facing welding.

Ü The ability to give clear instruction to subordinates and control them.

Ü Highly motivated, persistent and self-starter with demonstrated skills in Welding.

Ü Experience to deal with ASME S, U -Stamp and EN certifications

Ü Able to work in shifts

 



Requirements

Education qualification and Experience:


Ü BE/ B. Tech – Mechanical with 8 to 10 years of experience


Communication Skills:


Ü Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Ü Languages to be known English, Telugu / Tamil
