Position:

Location: Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh –India

Job Purpose:

Welding engineer with good welding process knowledge. Also having knowledge on P91 / F91, low alloy steels and Carbon steel materials with GTAW, SMAW, FCAW & SAW process.

Key Accountabilities:

ÜPreparing and getting customer / third party approvals on WPS & PQR’s according to standards (ASME / EN / Project specifications).

ÜPlan and qualify welders (WPQ) according to standards (ASME / EN / Client specifications)

ÜPlan and manage the welding production load.

ÜPreparing technical reports and work summaries.

ÜEnsuring the welding is performing as per approved WPS with qualified welders.

ÜPerforming fit-up inspection (misalignment, groove angle, root opening, preheat requirements etc.) & final inspection of weld joints.

ÜIndenting and Inspection of Electrodes and filler wires as per Standards and Project specification.

ÜPlan and organize PWHT as and when required.

ÜCoordination for radiography testing of weld joints.

ÜPlan and organize welding consumables and accessories.

ÜMaintaining and ensuring all welding equipment is in working order.

ÜTaking charge of welding projects.

ÜAnalysing engineering drawings and designs for welding requirements.

ÜEnsure conformance to required HSE standards

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

ÜSound knowledge in welding technology / relevant standards ASME / EN / IBR.

ÜGood knowledge on metals, Carbon steels, Low alloy steels, overlay and hard facing welding.

ÜThe ability to give clear instruction to subordinates and control them.

ÜHighly motivated, persistent and self-starter with demonstrated skills in Welding.

ÜExperience to deal with ASME S, U -Stamp and EN certifications
