Position Overview:We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Development Representative with a primary focus on cold calling to generate qualified leads and fuel our sales pipeline. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on proactive outreach, enjoys building relationships over the phone, and has the persistence to turn cold prospects into warm opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Cold Calling Activities Conduct high-volume cold calling (60-80 calls per day) to prospectively qualified leads and target accounts. Execute structured call cadences with 5+ follow-up attempts, as most successful outcomes require multiple touchpoints. Achieve daily/weekly call metrics including connect rates, conversation rates, and qualified meetings booked. Maintain detailed call logs and activity tracking in CRM system with daily and weekly reporting.Lead Generation & Prospecting Research and identify potential customers that match our ideal customer profile (ICP) using various prospecting tools. Build targeted prospect lists from industry databases, LinkedIn, and company research. Qualify leads through discovery questions. Conduct pre-call research to personalize outreach and increase conversion rates.Appointment Setting & Handoffs Schedule qualified discovery calls and demos for Account Executives. Provide detailed prospect briefings to Account Executives including pain points, budget, timeline, and decision-making process. Ensure smooth lead handoffs with proper introduction emails and meeting preparation. Multi-Channel Support Integrate cold calling with email sequences as part of omnichannel outreach. Follow up on email campaigns with strategic phone calls to increase engagement. Leverage LinkedIn for social selling to warm up prospects before calling.Required Qualifications:Experience & Education1-2 years of cold calling experience in B2B sales or similar outbound role. High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding call volume and appointment setting targets. Core Skills Exceptional verbal communication with confidence to engage C-level decision-makers. Strong persistence and resilience to handle rejection and maintain positivity through high-volume calling. Critical thinking abilities to respond quickly to prospect questions and objections during live calls. Time management skills to organize calling blocks and maximize productivity. Technical Requirements Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) for lead management. Experience with sales engagement platforms (Outreach, SalesLoft, etc.) for call cadences. Familiarity with prospecting tools (ZoomInfo, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator). Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.Performance Metrics & TargetsActivity Metrics 60-80 cold calls per day with consistent daily activity. Optimal calling times to maximize effectiveness. 5+ follow-up attempts per prospect to maximize conversion potential. 45% talk time during calls, with 55% dedicated to listening and asking questions.Results Metrics 10-15 qualified meetings booked per month for Account Executives. 15-20% connect rate on cold calls with proper targeting and timing.
