Description:About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Property & Energy Department at Tata AIG General Insurance.The role involves underwriting and managing Fire & Engineering proposals, building strong relationships with channels, and ensuring effective risk assessment and pricing strategies.Key Responsibilities:- Review, analyze, and assess Fire & Engineering insurance proposals.- Provide competitive quotes and underwrite proposals based on company guidelines.- Bind and process converted proposals within stipulated timelines.- Interact regularly with distribution channels for new business and renewals.- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.- Contribute to portfolio growth through sound underwriting decisions.Desired Candidate Profile:- Background: Candidates must be from the General Insurance industry.- Experience: Total experience up to 6+ years, with at least 3 years in Fire & Engineering Insurance.- Education: Engineering background will be an added advantage.- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.- Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines (ref:iimjobs.com)
