About the Role :We are looking for a skilled and motivated WordPress Backend Developer with 2-4 years of hands-on experience to join our growing development team. If you're passionate about clean code, scalable architecture, and delivering high-performance WordPress solutions, we want to hear from you. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys building custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.Key Responsibilities :- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing WordPress websites and plugins.- Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.- Collaborate closely with designers, front-end developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality products.- Stay current with the latest WordPress core updates, plugin architecture, and development best practices.- Ensure adherence to coding standards and participate in regular code reviews.- Work with version control systems like Git and follow Agile methodologies for project management.- Maintain and support WooCommerce-based eCommerce websites, ensuring secure and scalable performance.Required Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 2 to 4 years of experience working as a WordPress Developer (Backend-focused).- Proven experience in custom theme and plugin development from scratch.- Strong command over PHP, AJAX, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.- Deep understanding of WordPress core, theme hierarchy, hooks (actions & filters), and custom post types.- Experience with WooCommerce integration and customization.- Familiarity with version control (Git) and working in a collaborative development environment.- Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.Nice to Have :- Experience with REST API integration in WordPress.- Knowledge of page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc.- Understanding of SEO best practices in WordPress.What We Offer :- Competitive salary package (Negotiable based on skill set).- Opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects.- Collaborative work culture focused on learning and growth.- Flexible work timings and a supportive team environment.
