FUNCTION: APAC Import – Export / Intercompany Specialist

LOCATION: Mumbai, India

JOB TYPE: Permanent

ROLE SENIORITY: Non-managerial


GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

The daily operations of the Import/Export activities for IN01 involve managing the entire process to ensure smooth and efficient clearance of shipments. This includes collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to coordinate and streamline the shipment process. Additionally, all necessary documentation required for registration and shipment must be meticulously handled, ensuring compliance with regulations and the timely processing of shipments. Effective communication and organization are key to ensuring that the import/export procedures run seamlessly.


YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:


  • Prepare and review shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory department, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth export and import processes.
  • Verify freight invoices and ensure accuracy in billing and payment processes.
  • Arrange Import & Export shipment and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to manage logistics operations effectively.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding shipment statuses and logistics activities.
  • Review and release Trade Compliance hold in E2Open



Key Working Relationships:

  • Internal: Regulatory / Product Supply / Finance / Trade Compliance
  • External: WH / Customs Broker / Toller




ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Main requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in export and import operations, logistics coordination, or international trade. Knowledge of DG product would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of India Import & Export registration requirement, International shipping documentation, customs procedures, and trade compliance regulations.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
