Position Title : Principal Data Scientist

Experience Level : 6 to 12 years

Job Location : Bangalore (Hybrid)

Role Category : Data Science, Machine Learning, Gen AI, LLM

Key Responsibilities :

- Drive the Data Science initiatives in the product roadmap

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver ML and AI-driven solutions, including traditional models, LLMs, Generative AI, and Computer Vision projects.

- Support model development, evaluation, and deployment in a production-grade environment.

- Engage actively in data exploration, feature engineering, and model refinement

- Participate in discussions with engineering (data and software) and product managers, ensuring technical feasibility and business alignment.

- Mentor and groom the team to become efficient data scientists

- Conduct the training sessions for the team to be on top of the technology trends in the market

- Take ownership of assigned deliverables and demonstrate independent problem-solving and execution skills.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and proactively apply learnings to ongoing work.

Candidate Requirements :

- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

- 8 to 12+ years of experience in applied data science in verticals of heterogeneous datasets

- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.

- Hands-on experience in Traditional ML, Generative AI, NLP, Statistics, and LLMs. Experience in Agentic AI is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills, especially in cross-team settings with engineering or product stakeholders.

- Experience in leading a team of data scientists

- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and drive to solve diverse problems.
